Facing a Georgian Dream victory, the opposition parties have begun discussing their response, claiming that the disruptions witnessed at numerous polling stations throughout the day; the lack of adequate voting space made available at polling stations abroad- meaning voters were waiting for hours and some ran out of time and could not vote; and the propaganda, threats, and voter-buying employed to sway voters, particularly in the regions, means the Georgian people have “had their European future taken from them.”
“Georgia has officially become an autocracy. This was not a fair or free election,” they stated.
A series of protests are to be organized starting tomorrow, and appeals for an annulment will be made, opposition members noted at the late night press briefing.
