The European Union does not have such legislation, – German Chancellor Olaf Scholz thus answered the question “why European partners are concerned about the draft law on transparency of foreign influence,” when “so many countries have adopted the same or similar law” at the joint briefing with Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze.
The German chancellor noted that transparency is “an entirely different concept.”
“The European Union does not have such legislation. There is a discussion about establishing transparency in various fields, but this is a completely different concept, and it has not been decided yet and most likely it will not be decided,” said Scholz.
