Tbilisi City Hall has launched a new initiative to strengthen micro and small enterprises by providing co-financing for equipment and technology. The initiative was revealed at a recent municipal government meeting where Mayor Kakha Kaladze emphasized the goal of overcoming financial barriers faced by small businesses.
In the scope of the program, eligible entrepreneurs, legal entities and individuals with an annual turnover of less than GEL 500,000, can apply for support to improve production processes, expand capacity and enhance product quality.
The co-financing program offers a maximum of GEL 20,000. Applicants contributing up to GEL 5,000 must provide 10% co-financing while those requesting between GEL 5,001 and 20,000 are required to contribute 15%.
As the City Hall disclosed, funding will be prioritized for businesses that demonstrate potential for growth through the acquisition of machinery, equipment or other production-related technologies. Preference will be given to proposals that show clear plans for improving efficiency, launching new product lines or increasing production volume.
Applications are open for 15 days starting today. Detailed information, including application criteria and required documentation, is available on the official website of Tbilisi City Hall.
