The Service Agency of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) launched the issuing of international driving licenses based on the Geneva Convention on Road Traffic on September 19, 1949.
International driving licenses will be issued for a 1-year term based on a national license. They will be valid in Geneva Convention member countries.
In addition, the service agency also issues international driver’s licenses which are valid for a period of three years, provided for by the Vienna Convention of November 8, 1968.
Interested individuals should submit an ID document and a national driving license to the Service Agency to receive an international driving license.
