The Draft Organic Law on Political Unions of Citizens discussed by the Committee with the I reading is submitted for expedited consideration along with 8 other Bills.
The changes envisage the technical reflection of the authorities designated for the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
As noted in the reporter, First Deputy Chair of the Committee, David Matikashvili, the legal changes on anti-corruption activity have already been adopted with the II reading and today, the Committee has the Draft in the agenda for the III reading. The initiative of the reporter has been shared at the II reading and an additional function has been assigned to the Anti-Corruption Bureau – monitoring of the financial activity of the political party, electoral subject and the person with declared electoral purpose.
“The changes concerning the anti-corruption activity delegate the hereof functions from the State Audit Service and the Public Service Bureau to the Anti-Corruption Bureau, which entailed the necessity of the development of the legal package. The changes are submitted as part of the EU recommendations,” Matikashvili noted.
