“Exactly one year ago, a great tragedy befell Ukraine, which the Ukrainian people did not deserve! As a result of the war, tens of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians have died, including, what is especially painful, more than 450 children. 16 million Ukrainians became refugees and displaced persons,” Irakli Kobakhidze, chairman of the Georgian Dream party, wrote on his Facebook page.
He noted that the war had destroyed Ukraine’s economy and infrastructure, adding that before the war, the international community should have done everything to prevent this war and avoid the greatest tragedy.
“However, unfortunately, Russia’s military aggression still took place. Ukrainian soldiers and volunteers are heroically fighting for the independence and territorial integrity of their country! I bow before their heroism and dedication! I wish our friendly Ukrainian people independence and restoration of their territorial integrity! Слава Україні!,” he wrote.
