Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has announced a new public initiative, pledging to meet directly with residents every week at City Hall. Starting November 12, the mayor and his team will host open meetings each Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., giving citizens the opportunity to share their concerns and ideas in person.
Kaladze said the goal is to ensure that ‘no Tbilisi citizen is left unheard,’ pointing out that those unable to reach city officials through other channels will now have a direct line to him.
The announcement came shortly after the City Assembly confirmed the new Tbilisi government, marking the beginning of Kaladze’s third term as mayor. In a video address, he described the occasion as ‘deeply emotional’, expressing gratitude to residents for their continued trust.
“I fully understand the immense responsibility that comes with earning the support of Tbilisi residents for a third term,” he said. “Thanks to that trust, we can continue the reforms we began and implement the plans presented before the election. This is proof that we are on the right path—everyone can see the city’s transformation—but it’s also an opportunity to achieve even more.”
Kaladze also noted that he and his team regularly visit neighborhoods and inspect ongoing projects to hear directly from citizens.
“I give you my word: your voice will turn into concrete action,” he said. “The love, respect and support you show me will be repaid with good deeds. We are ready to work tirelessly to make our city even more beautiful and well-organized.”
