International Technology Group of Companies SOFTSWISS, with an office in Tbilisi, held a global team meetup in Dubai

The International Product and Technology Group of Companies SOFTSWISS went big when holding its traditional global team meetup in Dubai. Over 1,000 IT specialists with diverse cultural backgrounds came together to spend four days in Dubai, the famed city of skyscrapers.

The company’s offices are located in four European countries, namely, Poland, Georgia, Belarus and Malta. However, its employees work remotely from all over the world. Cyprus, Turkey, Malta, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, the Netherlands and the Philippines are only a few countries that are currently home to SOFTSWISS’ talents.

The company has a well-established remote work system that facilitates everyday online communication between employees. Therefore, live team meetups like this are a unique opportunity to meet in person, talk to colleagues, and share concerns with the management. Still, the main purpose of the annual meetups is to exchange positive emotions despite the overall global agenda.

During these four days, the teams had a chance to enjoy live communication, participate in active team-building events, get to know the city on guided tours, visit the desert, and even go on a splendid yacht trip. But most importantly, they were able to talk to their colleagues, not to their avatars that represent them during online meetings.

Among all other things, the event featured an informal meeting with the management and the founder of the group of companies Ivan Montik. This is one of the core principles behind SOFTSWISS’ work: anyone can have an open and sincere conversation with the management, ask all sorts of questions, share opinions and advice, as well as discuss matters of concern.

The gathering culminated in a grand gala dinner at the foot of the Burj Khalifa, fired by ‘SOFTSWISS Stars’, a real talent show, and a set by a popular DJ. SOFTSWISS’ developers, analysts, managers, designers and other employees, together with the production director, had invested several months into rehearsals to get ready for this on-stage performance in front of their colleagues and show their talent.

“The annual staff meetup is the most anticipated and admired event in our group of companies. It is the time when we can finally meet in person, give each other a friendly hug, have a chat and share our experiences. Events like this energise and raise our team’s spirit,” says Yulia Oncheva, Chief HR Officer at SOFTSWISS. “People are the core and main asset of our company. The trend I currently observe shows that the amount of remuneration is not the decisive factor when it comes to choosing a company one will work for. First and foremost, people want to participate in the creation of innovative products. Working with colleagues with unique expertise is another factor. Then, people like being part of teams that care for each other, and prioritise companies that are ready to invest in each employee’s emotional well-being. Finally, they value the work environments where mutual respect and sincere support are coupled with the understanding that work should bring delight and drive them forward. Our employees find all that at SOFTSWISS.”

The world’s leading developer of software for iGaming opens up new development centers and creates workplaces around the globe, uniting qualified specialists from diverse cultural backgrounds. At the same time, employees are free to choose whether to work in the office or remotely.
