Increase in Coronavirus Cases: Georgia Records 897 New Cases, 10 deaths

Georgia reported 897 coronavirus cases, 196 recoveries, and 10 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.

24,592 tests were performed in the last 24 hours.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 463 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 96 cases, and the Imereti region with 88 cases.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 3.65 %, while it was 1.94 % in the past 14 days.

The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has reached 284,958, among them, 275,220 people recovered and 3 832 died.

Presently, there are 5906 active cases of infection in the country.
