In June 2024, remittances of 281 million dollars from abroad arrived in Georgia, which is 21% less than in 2023.
According to the statistics of the National Bank of Georgia, the decrease is related to the reduction of remittances from the Russian Federation.
On the other hand, there has been an increase in remittances from countries where the migration of Georgian citizens is increasing.
In June 2024, 79.6 million GEL was sent abroad from Georgia, which is 3.0% less compared to the similar indicator of June 2023.
