Minister of Health, Mikheil Sarjveladze, says aid of approximately 2 million GEL from the US to the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health of Georgia is to be stopped.
He noted that it is a complete lie that 95 million GEL aid was stopped.
“The conversation can be around 2 million GEL at most. It is natural that an assessment will be needed from here, maybe not even this number. To mislead someone that 95 million GEL was cut off from the Georgian side is a complete lie,” Sarjveladze said.
Information was spread in the media that the suspension of financial aid to Georgia by the US would also affect the National Center for Disease Control and the Lugar Laboratory. Before that, it was announced that the US is suspending more than 95 million dollars in direct aid to the government of Georgia.
