A tragic accident occurred near Batumi station.
The Georgian Railway reports that “a passenger train collided with a minor, who died at the scene.”
“The train was approaching the platform, scheduled to make the Batumi-Kutaisi route. Patrol and criminal police have arrived at the scene.
“Georgian Railway expresses deep sorrow over this tragedy and extends condolences to the family of the deceased,” the railway’s statement notes.
