Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party, announced on Monday that the party plans to raise the excise tax on tobacco and heated tobacco products.
Mdinaradze stated that the new tax rates would be ₾0.15 ($0.053) for heated tobacco products and ₾0.20 ($0.071) for traditional tobacco products.
He added that the amendments would be incorporated into the country’s tax code.
