Georgia will host the 2029 Judo World Championships following an agreement signed in Budapest by Minister of Sport Shalva Gogoladze and International Judo Federation President Marius Vizer.
During the meeting, the parties officially agreed that Georgia will host the 2029 Judo World Championships.
The agreement was signed by Sports Minister Shalva Gogoladze and International Judo Federation President Marius Vizer.
Gogoladze is accompanied on the visit by Deputy Sports Minister Irakli Dolaberidze and other members of the Georgian delegation.
The possibility of hosting the championship was discussed earlier during Vizer’s visit to Georgia, when he met with officials at the Ministry of Sport. The discussions focused on future cooperation and Georgia’s prospects of hosting major international judo events.
