Reportedly, following a decree by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Georgia’s defense forces have been mobilized to help residents affected by heavy snowfall in Western Georgia.
“To eliminate the challenges created by the bad weather, representatives of local authorities and relevant services are working in an emergency mode so that the needs of the population are met in the shortest possible time,” the government administration stated.
Local authorities and emergency services are prepared to restore access to affected areas and organize help aid to those in need.
