Georgia at the 74th Locarno International Film Festival

The Locarno International Film Festival to open in Switzerland on August 4. The competition section of the Film Festival Concorso Cineasti del presente will feature Elene Naverian’s full-length feature film “Wet Sand.”

The world premiere of the film will take place on August 11, at 11:30 am at the Pala Cinema 1. Wet Sand is a Georgian-Swiss co-production.

Locarno will also screen Salome Jash’s award-winning international film “Taming the Garden.”

The films Wet Sand and Taming the Garden were created with the support of the National Film Center.

The Locarno International Film Festival has been held in Locarno, Switzerland since 1946.
