The Georgian national basketball team lost to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the final round of the EuroBasket group stage, but managed to keep its playoff hopes alive, hinging on the outcome of the Greece–Spain matchup.
In a dramatic showdown, Greece defeated Spain 90:86, a result that secured Georgia’s qualification for the round of 16 — marking the country’s third appearance at this stage in EuroBasket history.
Georgia will now take on France in the knockout phase, with the match scheduled for September 7.
