Gakharia’s party protests President’s impeachment in front of the constitutional court

Members, MPs and supporters of the “For Georgia” party are holding a rally in front of the Constitutional Court of Georgia in Batumi, where the “Georgian Dream” is currently holding an impeachment procedure against President Salome Zurabishvili.

The protesters claim that the above is a deliberate action against the European future of Georgia.

The party “For Georgia” declares its full support for the President’s institution and the European future of the country, they note.

“It is a historical process… For the first time in the history of Georgia, “The Parliament of Georgia against the European future of Georgia!” – commented the party member Berdia Sichinava.

For information, the Constitutional Court of Georgia is considering the impeachment submission of President Salome Zurabishvili.

The issue is being considered by the plenum of 9 judges of the Constitutional Court.

The President is not attending the session. Lawyers Tamar Chugoshvili and Maia Kopaleishvili will defend her interests in the court.
