We call on the Central Election Commission to provide timely information regarding the procedure and deadlines for managing the information available on electronic media, Beka Liluashvili, one of the leaders of the Gakharia for Georgia party, said at the briefing.
He noted that every day of non-response significantly increases the risk that electronic evidence will be destroyed.
“We appealed to the CEC to transfer the base of more than 2 million voters who came to the elections on October 26 to a neutral objective platform for each person to verify their own/individual information – whether they participated in the elections or not and in which precinct they voted.
“As of today, the statements of CEC representatives and individual politicians of “Georgian Dream”, including the chairman of the parliament, are not aimed at neutralizing the facts related to the systematic falsification of elections, one of the ways of which is the disclosure of the above-mentioned information, but are aimed at delaying time! The attempt to waste time is also confirmed by the fact that the CEC has not yet presented the contract signed with “Smartmatic” and the regulatory documentation of all procedures, including the regulatory documentation of the processing and storage terms of the information contained in the electronic means used in the elections.
“With the request for this information, we applied to the CEC two days ago. In these elections, one of the ways of confirming the systematic technological manipulations of the election results is stored in these electronic means. Each day of non-response significantly increases the risk that electronic evidence will be destroyed. That is why it is important for the public to know, according to the contract, what was the deadline and/or as a result of the change, what is the deadline for clearing information from electronic means. Once again, we call on the Central Election Commission to provide timely information regarding the procedure and deadlines for managing information on electronic media,” Liluashvili said.
