Starting January 1, 2026, drivers in Georgia will face fines for operating vehicles that exceed legally established noise limits, under amendments to the Administrative Offenses Code.
Based on the new regulation, a driver whose vehicle produces excessive noise will be fined 100 GEL for a first offense. In the event of a repeat violation, the fine will increase to 200 GEL, while subsequent offenses will carry a penalty of 300 GEL.
The measure aims to address noise pollution and improve the quality of life in urban areas. The provision will officially enter into force at the beginning of the new year, on January 1, 2026.
