The European Union is ready to support the Georgian people on their way to the European Union, but it is concerned about the course of action of the Georgian government, -said the statement of the Council of the European Union.
The Council says the issue of Georgia is on the agenda of the Council of Foreign Affairs.
“The European Union is ready to support the Georgian people on their way to the European Union. However, it is seriously concerned about the course of action of the Government of Georgia, which contradicts the values and principles of the European Union,” the statement said.
Today, the EU Foreign Affairs Council discussed Georgia’s post-election situation.
