DEUTSCHE WELLE publishes extensive article on Batumi – “Like traveling through time”

The international TV company DEUTSCHE WELLE published an extensive article about Adjara this August. The article talks about the sports and cultural events in Batumi, and the variety of marine and mountain tourism products.

“A trip to Georgia, located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, is like traveling through time. And right here, in this cradle of history and culture, a new center of sports and adventure is being formed: Batumi,” writes DEUTSCHE WELLE.

The international sports and cultural events that Batumi hosts throughout the year are emphasized, as are the ecotourism and adventure tourism opportunities of Mountainous Adjara. “The modern infrastructure and the famous hospitality of Georgia highlight Batumi’s potential to host global sporting and cultural events, making it an attractive destination for many visitors.”

This year, DEUTSCHE WELLE aired a one-month television advertisement, as a result of which millions of viewers from 190 countries were informed about the region and Georgia in general.

On the social pages of the channel, Georgia’s tale of “Ali and Nino” received responses from millions of subscribers.

The Adjara Tourism Department has been actively cooperating with international, prestigious TV companies for a number of years.
