Christian Danielsson, Personal Representative of the President of the European Council, is visiting Georgia. He said that there are serious issues that remain unresolved and in order to reach a compromise, and it is important that the parties are constructive.

“We had a good meeting with the opposition today, we are going to continue these meetings. I will have a meeting with the President. I have a specific task assigned to me by President Michel to assist the parties in the mediation process. I already said this morning that significant work has already been done, we are continuing to work and there are serious issues that remain to be resolved, and it is important that now the parties that were constructive continue to move towards compromise,” Danielsson said.

Christian Danielsson has been meeting with representatives of the opposition since this morning and as he noted, meetings will be held throughout the day.
