Court to Discuss Postponement of Mikheil Saakashvili’s Sentence on December 9

The Court will discuss the postponement of the sentence for the former president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, on Friday, December 9.

The session is scheduled for 13:00 at the Tbilisi City Court.

Judge Giorgi Arevadze will discuss the motion of the lawyers regarding the postponement of the sentence for Mikheil Saakashvili due to his aggrevated condition.

For the record, the conclusion of the medical council established under the auspices of the Public Defender reads that Mikheil Saakashvili has cachexia of the fourth degree, which may result in a severe prognosis for his life.

Dr. Tengiz Tsuladze said that it is significant that fundamental decisions be taken – Mikheil Saakashvili “must be removed from this environment (Vivamedi clincic, where he is undergoing treatment) and transferred elsewhere”.
