The former “Partnership Fund”, which continues its activities under the name of “Georgian Development Fund”, has a new supervisory board and directorate. Corresponding changes have already been reflected in the extract of the business register. Davit Saganelidze, who led the “Partnership Fund” for the last eight years, left his post. The new director of the fund will be Besik Bugianishvili and his deputy Vakhtang jorbenadze.
Besik Bugianishvili has been at the helm of the Peace Fund for a Better Future since 2020, a foundation established through collaborative efforts between the Office of the state minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality, the Partnership Fund, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia.
Notable changes have also occurred within the supervisory board. The Prime Minister and his ministers, including Levan Davitashvili, Lasha Khutsishvili, Otar Shamugia, and Irakli Karseladze, have vacated their positions. A new four-member board has been constituted, spearheaded by Davit Saganelidze as the council chairman. Joining him on the council are Merab Kakulia, Avtandil Silagadze, and Nana Adeishvili.
Besik Bugianishvili’s professional journey encompasses roles at “Likani Residence,” a company under the “Partnership Fund,” and as a founding partner at ARGO Business Consulting LLC from 2015 to 2017. His extensive experience in the oil and gas sector includes stints as head of business development at JKX Oil & Gas plc, a London Stock Exchange-listed company, and as general director at “Ukrnefteburennie,” an oil and gas exploration and production firm, from 2007 to 2008.
Furthermore, Bugianishvili served as a commercial manager at JKX Oil & Gas plc from 2005 to 2007 and represented Swiss National Petroleum Limited (NPL) in Georgia from 2001 to 2005. He also held key positions, including directorship, at the Georgian representative office of JKX Oil & Gas plc from 1998 to 2005.
Besik Bugianishvili’s academic credentials include a graduation from the Faculty of International Law and International Relations of Javakhishvili State University from 1991 to 1995.
