The annual inflation rate for 2022 made 9.8%, the National Statistics Service (GeoStat) reported.
With regard to the annual core inflation, the prices increased by 6.9%, while the annual core inflation without tobacco amounted to 6.8 per cent.
Prices in the transport group decreased by 2.7%, and maintenance of vehicles by 2,8%. At the same time, prices went down for the subgroup of oils and fats by 2.0% and fruit and grapes by 1.1%, contributing 0.09 percentage points to the overall monthly inflation rate.
Prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages went up by 0.4%, vegetables – 3.0%, fish -2.1%, and milk, cheese and eggs – 1.2%.
As for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, the prices increased by 0.8 per cent. The prices were higher mainly for actual rentals for housing (2.1%).
Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 1.2%, with a relevant contribution of 0.08 percentage points to the overall inflation rate. The price went up for tobacco (2.2%).
