APM Terminals Poti is set to achieve a record container throughout this year, with volumes expected to surpass 600,000 TEU for the first time, the company’s Commercial Director, Ian Rawlinson, reported to BMG.
“2025 will be a landmark year for APM Terminals in Georgia. This expected throughput is approaching our maximum capacity. Looking ahead to next year and beyond, we are exploring ways to increase capacity through a combination of investments, equipment upgrades, and efficiency improvements, in collaboration with our customers and other stakeholders in the supply chain, particularly in Poti,” Rawlinson said during the annual Black Sea Platform conference, organized by the EU–Georgia Business Council (EUGBC) with support from the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The company data shows that between January and October 2025, APM Terminals Poti handled 532,908 TEU, a 17% increase compared to the same period in 2024, when 454,139 TEU were processed.
