National Movement Chairperson Tina Bokuchava announced that the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has adopted a resolution on Georgia, warning of growing authoritarianism and political repression under Bidzina Ivanishvili’s rule.
“Just minutes ago, the European People’s Party and its like-minded partners — the largest and most influential political group in the OSCE PA — adopted a special resolution on Georgia,” Bokuchava said.
She claimed that the document “highlights the authoritarian steps taken by the Ivanishvili regime and details the ongoing political repressions in the country.”
She added that the resolution calls on international partners to use all available mechanisms, including financial tools, to restrict the regime’s repressive structures and prevent the use of “corrupt money to consolidate dictatorship in Georgia.”
