Moldova’s parliamentary elections have delivered a clear lead for the ruling party, with Maia Sandu’s Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) securing 50.14% of votes based on preliminary results, as reported by the Central Election Commission, with 99.78% of ballots counted.
Trailing in second place is the Patriotic Bloc, led by former President Igor Dodon, which garnered 24.20% of the vote. The Alternative Electoral Bloc holds third place with 7.97%, followed by Our Party with 6.25%, and the Platform for Dignity and Truth with 5.62%.
Moldovan voters elect all 101 members of parliament for a four-year term.
The Central Election Commission reported a turnout of over 1.6 million voters, representing approximately 52.17% of the electorate.
The results, if confirmed, signal a strong mandate for Maia Sandu’s government as it enters its next parliamentary term.
