Georgia Welcomes Young Mental Math Champions from Around the World

Tbilisi, Georgia — September 2025. Georgia will proudly host the UCMAS International Competition & World Cup 2025 on December 6–7, 2025, at the Georgian National University SEU in Tbilisi. For the first time in the history of the Caucasus region, the country will welcome more than 1,500 students from over 80 nations, along with their families, educators, and officials, making this one of the largest international education events ever held in Georgia.

Since its founding in 1993, UCMAS (Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System) has grown into a globally recognized program that develops children’s memory, concentration, resilience, creativity, and confidence through abacus-based mental math. Present in more than 80 countries, UCMAS has empowered millions of students worldwide, and its methodology is acknowledged by universities and educators as a proven tool for cognitive development.

The annual UCMAS International Competition showcases the very best of these young talents. The 2025 edition in Georgia also introduces the World Cup, adding a new level of prestige to the event. Students will compete across three categories: Visual, Flash, and the UCMAS World Cup, with winners receiving trophies, certificates, and cash prizes.

“This event is more than a competition—it’s a celebration of knowledge, confidence, and cultural exchange,” says Sahar Harb, National Franchise Owner & CEO of UCMAS Georgia. “The world is watching Georgia, and we are ready to welcome students, families, and educators from every corner of the globe with open arms.”

The competition is expected to draw over 4,000 international visitors to Tbilisi, providing a major boost to Georgia’s visibility not only in education but also in tourism and cultural exchange. Schools, universities, and ministries across the country are actively engaged, underscoring Georgia’s growing role as an educational hub in the Caucasus.

As Georgia prepares to host the world, the event stands as a milestone for the nation—an opportunity to demonstrate its renowned hospitality, rich culture, and rising status on the global education map.

The UCMAS International Competition & World Cup 2025 is not just about mathematics—it is about inspiration, opportunity, and proving that victory through knowledge belongs to every child who dares to dream.
