Judgment in Mzia Amaglobeli’s criminal case to be announced on August 6

Judge Nino Nameshvili is set to deliver the verdict in the criminal case of Mzia Amaglobeli, founder of Batumelebi and Netgazeti, on August 6 at 14:00. The judge announced the date during today’s session at the Batumi City Court.

At the hearing, Mzia Amaglobeli exercised her right to make a final statement.

For context, the investigation accuses Amaglobeli of assaulting a police officer — specifically, slapping the head of the Batumi Police, Irakli Dgebuadze.
