Tbilisi City Hall has announced research and testing work on the Heroes Square overpass, during which nightly traffic restrictions will be in effect from June 19 to July 7, between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM.
In the first phase, from June 19 to July 3, every other night, access will be restricted on all ramps leading to the overpass. This includes ramps from the right bank of the Mtkvari River, the connection from Heroes Square to the opposite side of the memorial, and ramps near Queen Tamar Bridge and the zoo.
In the second phase, on the nights of July 5 and 7, traffic will be fully blocked on the overpass connecting Merab Kostava Street (near the State Concert Hall) to the Sports Palace and Queen Tamar Avenue.
