Georgian national driving licenses will soon be qualified to swap with Italian ones with no additional exams required. Georgia has already secured similar arrangements with Spain, Greece, and Ireland.
The agreement was announced after the official meetings in Rome, where Deputy Foreign Minister Giorgi Zurabashvili and Police Attaché Vladimer Bortsvadze held talks with representatives of Italy’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
As Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs stated, the deal will “allow Georgian citizens residing in Italy to exchange their Georgian driving licenses for Italian licenses without taking further tests.”
Italian authorities declared that that they are ready to finalize the agreement after completing internal procedures.
