The US Embassy in Georgia has issued a letter of condolences over the death of iconic Georgian actor Kakhi Kavsadze.
“With the passing of legendary actor Kakhi Kavsadze, many Georgians feel like they’ve lost a member of their family. Through his work, Mr. Kavsadze touched the lives of so many people, and in turn, the outpouring of love and respect for him shows that his legacy will go on. The US Embassy extends our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and to all Georgians grieving his loss,” reads the letter of condolences issued by the US Embassy.
Renowned Georgian artist, film and stage actor Kakhi Kavsadze has passed away at the age of 85.
Kakhi Kavsadze contracted coronavirus on November 28, 2020. He was treated for acute respiratory failure at the First University Clinic and was put on artificial respiration.
