Students of the Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film University have gathered in front of the institution building, announcing plans to escalate the protest with a demonstration joined by an even larger number of people.
One protesting student stated, “Tonight at 7pm, we will take our demonstration in front of the Iliauni building, where the protest will continue.”
The Platform ‘Georgian Education is at Risk’ has urged the university administration to change their decision to revoke student statuses. “If the university does not reconsider its decision, we will gather again in front of the university on March 11 at 11:00 AM to continue the protest,” the platform declared.
Protesters are calling on fellow students to stand with them in solidarity. “Join us in supporting those whose student status has been suspended—we must continue this fight together,” they stated.
