Citizens offer each other help, offering travel assistance to various regions due to a significant shortage of transportation. This initiative is facilitated by a Facebook group called ‘Daitove,’ created a while ago as a reaction to protests against the ‘Russian law.’ The group feed contains a lot of posts from vehicle owners offering rides to particular regions of destination, often free of charge.
TV presenter Nanuka Zhorzholiani has also encouraged citizens to seek travel assistance by posting in the group. ‘Find your destination in the comments; it might already be posted, and you can easily find four people,’ she said.
Many citizens have expressed their frustration on social media about the lack of transportation options, associating it with a recent demonstration organized by the ruling party, which contributed to the transportation issues significantly.
