Russia has occupied 20% of the territories of Georgia, this is a fact that no one denies – this is how Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze answered the question why he did not mention Russia during his speech at the UN General Assembly session.
Kobakhidze claimed that he spoke about the occupation during his speech.
“The conversation was about occupation, Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region. We were talking about the territorial integrity of Georgia, we were talking about all these topics… The Russian Federation has occupied it, everyone knows it very well, we could not admit it to the European Union. I spoke about the occupation at the United Nations. “Russia has occupied 20% of the territories of Georgia, this is a fact that no one denies,” said Kobakhidze.
The Georgian Prime Minister was on a visit to the US, where he delivered a speech at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. He spoke about occupation, however, he hasn’t mentioned Russia in particular.
