Any mention of Georgia’s NATO aspirations was removed from the NATO declaration, – this is how Luke Coffey, a senior researcher at the Hudson Institute, responds to the declaration of the Washington summit of NATO.
“Any mention of Georgia’s NATO aspirations was removed from the NATO declaration. All the hard work done after Bucharest in 2008 went down the drain thanks to the “Russian law”. It is a clear, tragic and indisputable proof that the Georgian Dream has hindered Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic path,” writes Luke Coffey on X.
For information, the heads of states and governments participating in the meeting of the North Atlantic Council called on Russia to withdraw its forces from Moldova and Georgia.
It should be noted that in the declaration of the Washington summit, there is no record that Georgia will become a member of NATO.
