President: I’ll go to the Parliament, I don’t need anyone to support me in standing beside those little men

I will go to the Parliament, said the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili.

She appealed to the opposition to stand outside during the discussion of the issue of impeachment in the Parliament of Georgia.

“I will also go to the Parliament. By the way, I don’t need anyone to support me in standing beside those little men. I want to advise, it’s up to them, I can’t dictate anything to anyone, I want to advise the opposition that if they want the image to be strong, they can stand outside, stand against this anti-European impeachment. I will be inside, I will come out if they give me the floor, if not, I will come out anyway and say everything that needs to be said. Therefore, I am very grateful for this support, which I feel exists in the country, and let’s fight together until the end,” the President noted in her speech.

For the record, the Constitutional Court found that President Salome Zurabishvili violated the country’s Constitution by making unauthorized visits to Europe by the government. Three of the 9 judges of the Plenum did not support this decision: Irina Imerlishvili, Giorgi Kverenchkhiladze and Teimuraz Tughush. Judges Merab Turava, Eva Gotsiridze, Giorgi Tevdorashvili, Khvicha Kikilashvili, Manana Kobakhidze and Vasil Roinishvili supported the decision.
