Citizens of Georgia in Amygaleza detention center in Athens ask for help

Citizens of Georgia in the Amygaleza illegal immigrants detention center in Athens are asking for help.

According to the emigrants, one of the Georgians has a health problem, but she cannot take the necessary medicines.

According to the emigrant, Khatia Makhareishvili, the representatives of the Georgian embassy in Greece have not come to them so far.

“We have a Georgian girl who has health problems. We don’t get any attention in terms of medicines or doctors. If a girl needs anything, it is very difficult to take her to a doctor or hospital. No one has come either. Representatives from the Georgian embassy should have been here this morning and should have asked about our situation, about where we live. No one came, nor did they call after they heard that we had communicated with journalists,” Khatia Makhareshvili said while talking to Mtavari Arkhi.

For information, there was a commotion in the Amygdaleza detention center in Athens, where Georgian citizens are also placed. According to the immigrants, everything started after a Pakistani citizen died in the center. According to them, during the commotion, the law enforcement officers fired tear gas against them.
