The Parliament discussed in the third reading and approved the Draft Law on Weapons with 81 votes, re-formulating the regulations on weapons, namely, the firearms shall be considered as defense weapons the total length of which is less than 55 cm., and all other weapons whose total length exceeds 55 cm., shall be considered as hunting weapons.
The Draft entitles the police to on-location inspect and verify that the owner of a weapon is adhering to the rules established for the storage of the weapon, and if the police officers are not admitted to the apartment, then the owner shall, within the term of 7 days, in person submit the weapons they own to the police department.
