President Salome Zurabishvili “strongly condemns” the “official meeting” of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko with so-called president Aslan Bzhania in occupied Abkhazia.
She claimed that “this is another blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.”
“I strongly condemn Aleksandr Lukashenko’s “official meeting” in Minsk with the so-called “President” of occupied Abkhazia.
Following Lukashenko’s visit to Sokhumi, which disregarded the Georgian Law on Occupied Territories, this constitutes another blatant violation of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Salome Zurabishvili tweeted.
For the record, Aslan Bzhania yesterday arrived in Belarus, where he met with Lukashenko, as part of his visit.
“Why is the leadership of Georgia reacting so harshly to our meetings? You and I never planned any action against Tbilisi,” Lukashenko told Bzhania at the meeting.
The de facto leader of occupied Abkhazia was in Moscow before his arrival in Belarus, where he held several meetings.
