Polish Sejm Deputy Speaker: They’re Threatening Me to Stop Me Speaking Out about Saakashvili

“They are threatening me that if I continue to speak loudly about Saakashvili’s life and the situation in Georgia, I will no longer have the opportunity to enter Georgia,” Deputy Speaker of the Polish Sejm Małgorzata Gosiewska said.

She claimed that the mentioned threat was heard in an official conversation.

“I am not afraid of the threats that are being heard against me. I am being threatened that if I continue to speak openly about the life of the President [Mikheil Saakashvili] and the situation in Georgia, I will no longer have the opportunity to enter Georgia. Such a threat was heard by our ambassador, who was told this directly. I, for example, do not have the opportunity to enter Russia and Belarus due to my work, and if Georgia is added to these countries, everything will be clear.

“This threat was heard in an official conversation but I hope it won’t be implemented. I want Georgia to return to the normal circle. I want to have the opportunity to visit the political prisoners. For years, I visited the former Prime Minister, Mr. Vano Merabishvili, in prison. I had the opportunity then, now I don’t have such an opportunity. I have been denied a visit Saakashvili several times. They also denied me the opportunity to visit Gvaramia,” Gosiewska told Formula TV.

The Sejm of the Republic of Poland has appealed to the authorities of Georgia to give Mikheil Saakashvili the necessary treatment, one that meets global standards. The above was stated in a resolution of the lower house of the Polish Parliament (Sejm) relating to Saakashvili.
