Is there any action?

“Is there any action?” It’s the WSOP! There’s always action! You can follow every hand and bead of sweat escaping a poker face on the GGPoker website, where not only are there links to streams on all the events, but written coverage in the blog.

The events kicked off with the $400 No-Limit Hold’em Monster Stack, which took two days to complete!

The winner was Brent Bogdanovecz, who took home $31,801 and his first gold ring for his trouble, beating out 33 other players in the process.

“Just retired this year,” Bogdanovecz explained. “I definitely play poker as a hobby and I’ve got plenty of time now, so hopefully I’m going to continue getting a little better.”

Fans of streaming all the action on the game GGPoker Flip & Go probably saw Shawn Sparks and felt their eyes light up. The player was back for his second ring – and got it.

Playing at the $400 No-Limit Hold’em Double Stack, Sparks played over two days and against 32 peers to call himself champion.

“This one legitimizes the first one. The first one wasn’t just luck,” Sparks said. “I would love to play the main, but I’m probably going to my 5-year-old granddaughters birthday party on Saturday,” to a collective “Aww” from the audience.

Meanwhile, at the 6th ring event, Lori Gansel was cleaning up. The Virginia native took her first ring from the $400 no-Limit Hold’em Bounty and her prize of $17,349 and laughed all the way to the bank.

But she wasn’t finished there. You will be able to spot her at her seat at the Tournament of Champions which is a $1 million freeroll that will take place at the WSOP 2022!

When asked how she felt about her win, she said: “Pretty fantastic. I did not see this when I got up this morning. You always hope.”

She then added: “I almost didn’t fire a second bullet today, but I’m glad that I did,” like a Virginia girl would.

The most recent victor at the WSOP Circuit was James Cordray, who not only left with his very first WSOP cash but a ring to show for it.

Where can I watch?

The Choctaw Durant circuit will take place from January 4th until the 17th, and there will be plenty of events to see throughout. But don’t worry if you’re finding yourself too late for this circuit, there are loads more planned throughout the circuit running up to July. Currently, the circuit is in the Deerfoot Inn and Casino in Calgary, Canada, Thunder Valley Casino in California, and will be moving onto the Horseshoe Tunica in Mississippi.

So, if you are hoping to see all the action for yourself, head to the GGPoker website for all the coverage and streams.
