In order for citizens to be able to get a green passport, a special application has been launched, which can be downloaded from smartphones and is connected to the databases of the Center for Disease Control.

Those who do not have a smartphone can get a paper passport at the House of Justice.

“As for the rural population, the covid passports will not work for them. I do not think the rural population goes to restaurants and entertainment centers, where we have established this requirement today. I think the incentive mechanism for the elderly for the rural population will work well,” said Amiran Gamrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control.

Green passports will be activated from 1 December, meaning the following: a person has green status if he or she has been vaccinated twice, been tasted a 72-hour PCR test, or a 24-hour antigen test, or has been exposed to the coronavirus.

“According to the decision of our council, citizens will be able to enter different facilities only on the principle of green passport. These are food outlets, entertainment centers, entertainment facilities, cinemas, opera, museums, concert halls, etc. We will also tell you that this requirement will apply only to visitors And not about the people working there,” Garibashvili said.
