CENN, within the framework of the Digital Caucasus project and in partnership with the Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA), Mytravel.ge, Georgian Travel Guide and Area.ly, is announcing a competition for women entrepreneurs working in the Georgian tourism sector.
The aim of the competition is to encourage women entrepreneurs in tourism towards sustainable solutions. The competition is open to women (of any age) who run a tourism business in Georgia.
Participants can fill out applications in the following nominations:
- The best green tourism business;
The nomination Best Green Tourism Business will reveal 3 winners, who will be awarded the following prizes by CENN: $ 400, $ 300 and $ 200. In addition, the company Area.ly will reveal their chosen accommodation facility and will provide a 6-month service package, which includes administrative and booking management modules and the creation of a web page (with a 6-month free service).
- The best instagenic tourist accommodation facility;
Mytravel will offer the winner of the nomination Best Instant Tourist Facility a promotion package, which will include photo-video shooting of the facility and financing of an advertising campaign.
- Best Adventure Tourist Offer
Within the Best Adventure Travel nomination, the Georgian Travel Guide will provide the winning business assistance in creating marketing packages of their travel product and its placement on digital channels.
Those wishing to participate in the competition must fill in the application form by August 20, 2021. Submissions can only be made under one nomination category. Applications will be evaluated by a commission comprised of experts in the fields of tourism, marketing and the environment. The winners will be revealed in September 2021.
The competition is initiated by CENN as part of a grant awarded from the USAID Economic Development, Governance and Enterprise Growth (EDGE) project.
