Intermittent rain is expected across most of Georgia from August 13 to 15, with heavy rainfall possible in some areas, says the National Environment Agency.
On August 13–14, heavy rain is forecast in parts of Adjara, Guria, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kvemo Kartli and Kakheti.
On August 15, heavy rainfall is expected in some areas of Kvemo Kartli, Kakheti and Mtskheta-Mtianeti.
Thunderstorms, hail and strong winds are also possible during the period.
“Expected heavy precipitation may cause flooding on small rivers, while landslide and mudflow processes may develop or become more active in hilly and mountainous areas,” the National Environment Agency said.
The agency assessed the hazard level as moderate.
