The Creative Voices for Children’s Rights initiative has held literary discussions in Tsalenjikha and Zugdidi, focusing on children’s rights through the lens of literature.
In Tsalenjikha, writer Giorgi Kekelidze discussed Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn in relation to children’s rights, while in Zugdidi, writer Zviad Kvaratskhelia spoke about his novel Form N100.
UNICEF Georgia said participants discussed issues including protecting children from violence, the right to education and development, equality, freedom, and the importance of a safe family environment.
The initiative uses literature and public discussions to create spaces for conversations about children’s rights.
The project is supported by the European Union.
