Armenia is set to welcome a globally recognized international hospitality brand through a strategic partnership with Green Rock, marking a significant milestone for the country’s tourism sector and the continued development of Dilijan as one of the leading destinations in the South Caucasus.
The new hotel project will become a key component of Green Rock’s flagship Multifunctional complex currently under construction in Dilijan: an ambitious urban ecosystem designed to combine hospitality, residential, educational, cultural, commercial, and public spaces within a single integrated destination.
On July 25, Green Rock held the groundbreaking ceremony for the new hotel, with the project set to introduce internationally recognized hospitality standards, a new level of guest experience, and a refined culture of service to Armenia’s tourism sector.
Although the name of the international hotel operator will be officially announced at a later stage, the partnership already represents an important milestone for Armenia’s tourism industry and highlights the country’s growing potential as an attractive destination for international travelers and investors.
Located just a three-hour drive from Tbilisi, Dilijan is renowned for its forests, national park, cultural heritage, and unique natural environment. In recent years, the city has been gaining recognition as one of Armenia’s most attractive destinations for leisure, wellness, cultural, and business tourism.
The arrival of an international hospitality brand is expected to further strengthen Dilijan’s appeal for visitors from Georgia, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, while contributing to the broader development of tourism connectivity across the South Caucasus.

Beyond the hotel itself, this development will strengthen Dilijan’s tourism infrastructure, create new jobs, and support the town’s growth as a year-round destination for tourism, culture, and education.”
Green Rock is implementing a long-term investment program in Dilijan aimed at transforming the town into a modern tourism and lifestyle destination where hospitality, education, culture, business, and community life come together.
As part of this vision, the company has already opened the first completed facilities within its Multifunctional complex including PPLS Rooms Co-living, Villa3 Community Hub, Cabinet Café & Restaurant, and Cemi by Apicius, an Italian café. Cemi serves as a practical training platform for students of Apicius Armenia, an international hospitality school. Following the opening of the new hotel, graduates of the school will have the opportunity to continue their professional careers within Armenia’s growing hospitality industry.
The multifunctional complex represents a total investment of $160 million, with more than $30 million already invested. Upon completion, the project is expected to create more than 800 new jobs, including over 400 permanent positions within the hotel sector. The hotel is designed to offer 205 guestrooms and suites, extensive dining and wellness experiences, family entertainment facilities and a purpose-built conference center.
