The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Mariam Kvrivishvili, has met with the Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, Bakit Sidikov, to discuss trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting focused on a wide range of issues related to bilateral economic cooperation and prospects for strengthening ties further. It took place within the framework of the visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, to Kyrgyzstan.
Kvrivishvili said strengthening economic relations is a key element in developing cooperation between the two countries, adding that the Georgian government is focused on identifying new areas of mutually beneficial partnership.
The ministers also discussed the importance and prospects of deepening bilateral trade, with Kvrivishvili noting that there are broad opportunities across several sectors.
The Georgian minister provided detailed information to the Kyrgyz side on Georgia’s investment environment.
The Georgian side also expressed readiness and interest in increasing exports of products already present on the Kyrgyz market.
